Description
A simple PT2399 based delay circuit. Aggressively filtered repeats for a clean-ish delay sound. Analogue like decay of delayed notes.
Similar to Culturejam Neptune but without the LDR Pitch/Delay shift circuit. Instead a second momentary footswitch can control an alternative feedback pot, which can be set for extra repeats or self oscillations when activated.
PT2399 is a delay chip, much loved for its ease of use and low cost. Delay time is controlled via a current sink on pin 6 .
The repeats are never totally clean, it is a very lo-fi device, and the note decays away much like Analog Delays. Some argue they sound better than analogue BBD (Bucket-Brigade) based delays.
Board Accepts:
Through Hole or SMD PT2399 ICs.
Avaliable with an SMD PT2399 Pre Soldered.
